Usopp X Reader: Really Bad Day

"_______! Are you okay?" Chopper asked, running over.

"Yeah, yeah, just stubbed my friggin toe. That's all." You said.

"Well, please be a bit more careful _______! We don't need you hurt." Chopper said.

"Sure thing!" You said, standing upright again.

You nodded to Chopper and left for a high part of the Thousand Sunny. You climbed up high and gazed out at the sea. It was a pretty sight. Maybe it could calm you from your crappy day. So far, it wasn't playing out to well. Waking up sucked, you ran into almost everything and burned yourself with water, Luffy stole more than half your food and now you rammed your foot on something. Today was seriously pissing you off. And just as if the bad day gods were giving you a present, Luffy appeared right in front of you on your perch, scaring you half to death and causing you to fall off backwards and hit the deck with your back hard.

"Oi _______! How're you doing?" Luffy yelled.

When you hit the deck, it completely knocked the air out of you and you were coughing up a storm trying to regain air in your lungs.

"You okay?" He asked.

When you finally caught your breath you glared at him with the most evil look you could possibly give.

"Well, considering I couldn't breathe for a minute or so, no, I am NOT okay!" You gasped.

"Oi Luffy! What the hell are you doing?" Sanji yelled, approaching him and bashing his head in. Chopper, Usopp, Nami, and Zoro had followed to see what was up.

"Dude! You just knocked the air out of her!" Zoro stated.

"I'm glad she recovered her air in time!" Chopper sighed.

"Here ________" Usopp said, offering you his hand.

You took it and got up from the ground. "Thanks, Usopp."

You made awkward eye contact with him for a bit, but quickly looked away before it got too awkward.

"Well, I'm going below deck to read now. I'll try and stay calm and out of places where I can hurt myself. Okay Chopper?" You said, looking at him.

"Right! Just go have a good read!" Chopper nodded.

As you were walking away, Nami called out to you.

"Wait _______!"

"What?" You asked.

"Well, um, are you feeling okay? You seemed to be having a bad day. You look tense."

"No, I'm honestly fine." You said.

You grabbed a random book and jumped onto the couch, crossing your legs under the table. Sighing, you began your nice read. All was calm and quiet for a good amount of time. You had almost completely calmed down. Almost. Ten minutes into your read, Sanji burst into the room with a plate of food, scaring you shitless.

"_______-chwan! I brought you some delicious sweets!" Sanji sang.

You screamed in surprise, dropping your book and kicking your feet out to the side, breaking the table leg off as you fell off the couch.

"Jesus balls Sanji!" You yelled, breathing heavily.

Sanji made a weird sound and dropped the plate, flailing his arms around.

"OH MAI GAWD! _______-chan I'm so sorry I didn't mean to scare yooouuuu!" Sanji whined, tears falling down his face like a waterfall.

The noise caused Chopper, Usopp, and Robin to run down and see what happened. They came down to see you sitting on the floor, fists clenched, and about ready to blow a gasket.

"My, what happened here?" Robin asked.

"I-I-I  scared _______-chan when I came in and made her break the table! And now she's maaaaaad!" Sanji cried.

"Oi, good job. Why not give her a heart attack?" Usopp said sarcastically.

"Sanji..." You said through clenched teeth.

"Y-yes _______-chan?"

"I want you to clean up all the slivers and broken things here. Got it?"

"Y-YES _______-CHWAN!" Sanji yelled, hopping up and grabbing a broom.

"God damn suck up." You mumbled, grabbing the table and its leg, walking up to Usopp. "Got any tools and stuff to spare? Got a table that needs fixing."

"Oh, _______, I can fix that for you. Don't stress yourself with it." Usopp said.

"No, I got this. It's my foot that hit it anyways. Not a hard task." You insisted.

"Okay then. Just go up to where I'm usually fixing things. Everything's there that you'll need." Usopp said.

"Thanks," You nodded, walking off.

Usopp sighed. "Man, her day isn't getting any better, is it?"

Chopper shook his head. "Not with this idiot prancing around."

He was pointing at Sanji of course. He was still crying like a baby as he swept up the mess.

"Jeez, she's right. He is a suck up." Usopp said, making a stupid face.

"He's pathetic." Chopper agreed.

"My, my, Sanji. You've really done it now." Robin said.

"I'M SORRY ROBIN-CHWAN! I'LL BE A GOOD BOY!" Sanji whined.

"Oh god you're right." Robin said.

"Leeet's let him clean. I'm getting a lil creeped out." Chopper said.

Usopp and Robin nodded and slowly shuffled away from Sanji and his creepy cleaning.

"Can't get any peace today, can I?" You said to yourself, throwing down the table pieces.

You looked around and found some pieces of wood, glue, a hammer, some nails, and a saw.

"Gee, this is gonna take a lot more than some glue to fix. I kicked it pretty good." You said, grabbing a bit of sand paper.

You sat there for a while, sawing out a piece of wood in the shape of the previous table leg. You sanded everything out and glued it in place before nailing anything. While you waited, you sanded everything down again until it was perfect. Just when the glue dried, you began to think about your whole day again.

"Jeez, my day has been shit so far." You said, grabbing the nails. As you began pounding them in, you emphasized your words every time you struck a nail. "If ONLY the damn good day GODS weren't against me having a GOOD DAY! I keep HURTING myself and its PISSING me OFF! And- EYYYAAAAAHHHH!" You screamed, blood flying everywhere.

In your frustration, you failed to line up the nail properly and it was facing your palm. You hit the nail, forcing it through your hand and making a lot of blood spurt out.

Usopp heard you scream from outside and came running.

"_______! What happened? Who- ... oh my god! CHOPPER! COME QUICK!" Usopp yelled, coming to your side. "How the hell did you do this _______?" He asked in an extremely worried tone.

You were trying so hard to hold back your tears. You were a tough person, and no one has ever seen you cry before. You weren't going to let anyone see now either.

"I-I was, and I- AGH!" You were in too much pain to speak properly. It was too much of a shock.

Chopper burst in the room and ran over to you.

"Oh god, this is serious!" He said, opening up his medical bag. By now, everyone had crowded at the door, trying to get in. "GET OUT!" Chopper yelled at them. "You too Usopp! Just go for a bit."

Usopp had never seen Chopper so serious about an injury on the ship. Injuries like this usually don't happen on the ship, so it only made sense. He nodded and left quickly as Chopper slammed the door the moment he was out.

"Ohhh, how did this happen _______?" Chopper asked.

"I-I was fixing the table a-and I was frustrated a-and didn't line up the nail right!" You stuttered. "P-please fix this!"

"Close your eyes _______. I'm pulling the nail out." Chopper said.

You shut your eyes and braced for the pain.

Chopper counted down for you. When he pulled, you screamed in pain and shook all over. Chopper immediately put on several different kinds of antibiotics and disinfectants to clear up any possible infection. He quickly put a gauze pad on the hole and wrapped your hand up in a bandage tightly to stop anymore blood from gushing out. You winced in pain and whimpered at every touch, bearing the pain as best as you could.

"Okay, done." Chopper said, closing up his medical bag.

"T-thank you Chopper." You said, shaking slightly.

"Go rest on that bed over there. You need some after all of today." He instructed. " Oh, and _______, I know that all of your day has been bad. I've noticed. Please, try to get better. We all love your smile." Chopper added, leaving.

You sat down on the small recovery bed, still shaking.

"Why the hell does this have to happen to me all at once?" You said, about to cry.

You then heard a knock on the door from outside.

"Who is it and what do you want?" You yelled, trying to sound normal.

"It's me, Usopp. Can I come in _______?"

You didn't answer. You just sat there looking down.

Usopp came in anyways and closed the door behind him. He came over and sat beside you.

"How did you get that nail through your hand?" He asked.

"... I wasn't paying attention and missed. And it's all because of... because of... because I had a REALLY SHITTY DAY!" You yelled, starting to cry.

"_______, you can talk to me. I'll listen."

You shook your head violently and threw out everything that happened to you today.

"Something fell on me and WOKE ME UP this morning! I've probably walked into SIX walls! I burned myself with hot water! Luffy stole more than half my food! I fell a high place and couldn't BREATHE! Then i hit the floor and break the damn table too! And to top it all off, I STAB A FREAKING NAIL INTO DAMN HAND!" You yelled, crying. " Shit from every other day of the week has been piling up inside me too! And I'm REALLY PISSED OFF!"

You yelled everything that pissed you off and hurt you today. It all piled up on you and finally broke you. Never has a day been so brutal to you. You were now crying your eyes out too. Usopp has never seen you cry before. No one has. He was astonished that you actually were.

"_______, I'm sorry that your day had to turn out like this." Usopp said.

"I don't know what to do anymore! I just... I just..." You stammered. Your eyes watered before you burst into tears and grabbed Usopp, hugging him for comfort.

Usopp was slightly surprised, but understood that you needed comforting. He hugged you back and you cried out all the ridiculous pain that you've been suffering though today. Naturally, Usopp was blushing slightly, but he wasn't paying attention at all because he was more worried about you. You pulled yourself as close to him as you could and squeezed him like a giant pillow as you cried. He did all he could to get you to calm down and stop crying. When your tears stopped flowing and your breathing steadied, you released your grip and looked up, blushing slightly.

"S-sorry, I just..."

"N-no, it's fine! You needed it. I've never seen you cry before. Everyone needs to let it out sometimes." Usopp said.

"Yeah..." You said. "Nothing can heal the bloody wounds. Other than the hand thing, today's gonna stick with me for a while."

"That's the crappy part. I'll help you out as much as I can if you want."

"Yeah, you can. I just wish that- OW!" You yelled. "Oh come ooooonnn!"

"What?" Usopp asked.

"I bit my friggin lip in the middle of talking. I'll just add that to the list of shit that pisses me off." You said. "More crap that won't heal in an instant."

"Actually, I think I can heal that wound." Usopp said nervously.

"What do you mean?" You questioned.

"I'll kiss it better." He said.

Before you could object, Usopp leaned over and kissed you. His eyes were closed a little tighter than a normal persons, as if he was scared or something. It took a little bit for you to register everything, but soon you knew that he did it to make you feel better, and to heal that wound. It worked and you smiled, thanking him in your head and kissing him back. You pulled yourself closer to him with your arms around him. Soon. his own hands were at your waist, and he was good too. He held you like Sanji holds plates of food for hot girls. When the two of you parted, you were both blushing madly.

"Is it better?" He asked.

You giggled. "Yep! All better!" You said. "My whole day is too."

"Good!" He smiled. "I hate it when you aren't smiling."

"I feel like myself again. Thank you Usopp."

At your words, Sanji walked by the window and saw you two. He had an extremely jealous look on his face and eyed Usopp evilly. You noticed and stared at Sanji, grabbing Usopp and doing a weird clawing-hug thing while making a stupid face and sticking your tongue out at Sanji. Sanji had a shocked look on his face and slowly shuffled out of sight with an extremely pissed off look on his face. When he was gone, you were still holding Usopp it a strange fashion, frozen in a strange pose. You finally started to smirk, and finally laugh and collapse on the bed, dying of hilarity. Usopp was absolutely dying of laughter too because what you did was THE most strange thing he had ever seen you do. Both of you were cracking up until you managed to speak properly.

"THAT was the STUPIDEST yet most funny thing I've EVER done!" You laughed.

"I have no idea what that was, but oh my god that was funny as hell!" Usopp chuckled. "It's good to hear you laughing too! You haven't smiled this much all day."

"It's cause of you! You helped me get here." You said, sitting upright.

"Well, I guess that's true!" Usopp said.

"You saved me from sadness. Thank you!" You said, hugging him again. "Something else. I like you. A lot. I should be saying love." You laughed lightly.

Usopp blushed and hugged you back. "Same here _______."

Sanji was forever jealous from that day on. He would try and hit on you, but you threw heavy things at him, sending him to a cornet to sulk. To you, Usopp was all you needed, He had a special place in your world, because he saved you from a weeks worth of piked up sadness. A different kind of hero. Your hero.
